Looking to elope? There is surely no better place than Switzerland. With an endless supply of majestic mountains, stunning lakes, and beautiful old towns, Switzerland really has something for everyone. Your elopement should just be about you and the love you are celebrating together.

The beauty of your elopement is that is can be whatever you want it to be. Whether city or mountain, I would love to come along and photograph this day for you. WHAT TO DO NEXT?
If neither of you are Swiss citizens or residents, then you cannot legally get married in Switzerland. What most couples do, is legally get married in their home country, and then have a symbolic ceremony in Switzerland. They then treat this as their official wedding day.
Once you have decided you want to have your elopement in Switzerland, the next this is to decide on a date. Different times of the year will provide a different look and feel. Winter in Switzerland is truly beautiful. In the alps you have snow covered mountains with gorgeous views. And in the cities you have Christmas lights and decorations at every turn.
In the summer, the Swiss alps are stunning, and there are many beautiful locations you can hike to. Summer and Winter will of course be the busiest seasons, but still perfectly manageable. Fall and Spring will be less busy with tourists for sure and will be just as beautiful in their own right. Many parts of Switzerland have lovely colours in the Fall with the trees turning orange and providing a stunning backdrop for your elopement. Spring will vary greatly depending on the location. Many cities will start to warm up, but higher elevations will likely still be covered with snow.

Switzerland has so many beautiful places to elope, it can be a little overwhelming to plan from another country! I love helping my couples narrow it down and choose a location for their elopement. The most obvious choice is mountains, this is really what Switzerland is known for! There are so many beautiful options. Switzerland is also home to many amazing lakes and old cities as well!

A native English speaker, I originally grew up in Canada before moving to Denmark in my early twenties, and finally settling here in Switzerland. I love connecting with other people who share this same love for the world. MY PHILOSOPHY
I love light, colour, and composing your portraits to provide that wow factor. But I also believe in capturing the emotions and in-between moments of the entire day. That little hand squeeze, amazing; the sweet cuddle while waiting for the gondola, love it. All those images really help in preserving how you felt during your elopement in Switzerland. In combination with the more styled images, I love to provide full galleries that are timelines and classic, and are sure to be just as loved in ten years as they are now.
